Absolutely! Do you remember the last time you changed your air (or furnace) filters after a longer than normal time interval? Did you notice how dirty they were? Well, when they get that dirty, it causes your AC and heating system to have to work harder and thus less efficiently. One way or the other, it will cost you money replacing or repairing your AC or heating system as well as paying higher energy bills. It just makes sense to change your filters ON TIME with AirFiltersByMail.com “remembering so you don’t have to”.
Go to the Shop page and you can see a picture of where to find your filter size.
Most of the time the size of your air filter(s) are printed on your current filter, if not, a brief explanation is required.
How to Measure My Filter Size?
Just like a 2″x4″ piece of wood is not ACTUALLY 2″x4″ anymore, so goes the measurements of an air (or furnace) filter.
There are actual dimensions and nominal dimensions. The actual dimensions are the lengths the tape measure tells you but nominal dimensions are the ones listed on the air filters. For example:
An air filter might have the actual dimensions of 23-1/2″ X 23-1/2″ X 1-3/4″ but will be labeled as a 24″ X 24″ X 2″ filter. The actual dimensions are usually 1/8″ to a 1/2″ smaller than the nominal dimensions (or those printed) on the filter.
So when choosing your filter size (and no dimensions are listed on your current filter), measure the filter or opening the filter sits in and choose a filter with 1/8″ – 1/2″ dimensions larger than what you measured. If none of our choices match, then provide us with your custom filter sizes (actual measurements) and we will have them made for you – Click Here for this service.
